Luxor Hot Air Balloon Ride

After your hotel or cruise ship in the centre of Luxor picks you up early in the morning, you'll ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to the launch site on the west bank of the Nile. When you get there, you can have a snack and a light drink before the flight and meet your expert pilot and ground crew. Then, you'll get a full safety briefing and get into the strong balloon basket with the pilot and a few other people. Then, feel your adrenaline rise as the brightly coloured balloon rises into the still-dark sky for your 30-45 minute flight. On the east bank of the Nile, watch the sun rise and enjoy the beautiful views. Watch as the light shines on the mountains and buildings around Luxor, and make sure you have your camera ready to record the unforgettable scenes. Look to the east to see the morning sun hit the columns of Karnak Temple. Then look to the west to see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the dawn light. Watch the Colossi of Memnon rise up from the nearby fields and head off into the Valley of the Queens, which is nestled in the rocky mountains. Then, if the wind is right, you can float above the impressive tomb of Pharaoh Ramses II, the Ramesseum, and look at its towers, statues, and courtyards. A support vehicle on the ground and your balloon crew will follow you as you fly, and they will be there when you land. After a safe landing, you can go back to Earth to get your flight certificate and a souvenir. Finally, go back to Luxor, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or charged up in time for breakfast and your ride in the morning.
